Jack Garrett, a world-renowned marine/project engineer is assigned to a seemingly impossible task – construct an entire city under the sea in less than three years! To complicate this task, he must overcome unfriendly forces of nature, a project that is only partially funded with a tight timetable and impatient investors, while implementing unproven, cutting-edge technology. Even as he struggles with natural and man-made obstacles, he is not even aware of a team of saboteurs determined to derail the project at any cost.
I was working for an oil company and we partnered with a company that could provide custom applications of PVC plastics. We developed several applications such as building new convenience stores, new canopies over the gas pumps, and even custom trash bins and in-ground storage containers for gasoline tanks that made servicing the tanks easier. From this work, came the idea of utilizing a plastic dome over recreational facilities and eventually into the establishment of a dome over a city under the sea (dubbed Atlantis).
Atlantis Reborn is the story of a marine engineer who was successfully managing the installation of a new offshore drilling rig, when he is recruited to build a new domed city under the sea that will implement new technology, while surviving multiple sabotage attempts by several unknown groups, with a tight project budget and in a short time frame.
