My Name is Larry J. Rhodes

Larry J. Rhodes earned his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from LSU in 1979 and taught Freshman Chemistry before transitioning to the oil and gas industry. There, he contributed to Major Capital Projects and authored numerous technical standards, specializing in process analytical instrumentation.

He also served as a Global Knowledge and Quality Management focal point and coordinated 36 Technical Discipline teams before moving into process safety. A member of the American Chemical Society, Rhodes also authored standards for the Instrument Society of America and the American Petroleum Institute.

He later shifted to screenwriting and now writes mainstream and science fiction novels. He resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife and enjoys photography. Larry loves traveling to see each perception of the world.

He was involved in process analytical instrumentation and Knowledge Management prior to moving into the process safety area. He often receives inspiration from his wife - a chemist, his daughter - a lawyer, and his son - an MD. He lives with his wife in Houston, Texas.
